Wrinkles

With facelifting, an appearance of freshness of a face is achieved, but tiny wrinkles remain. The treatment of them can be put into affect by the process of abrasion (by chemical treatment – chemical peel, or by mechanical abrasion, polishing), or by using Botulinum toxin injections and Restylanea (hyaluronic acid). Mechanical abrasion treatment is performed with a high r. p. m. grinder, usually under local anaesthesia. Skin convalescence after this treatment is normally to happen after about two weeks. With the treatment of chemical peel, the surface skin layer is also removed by coating it with an acid (e.g. acetic trichloroacetic acid) of a specific solution dilute. The recuperation period is about a week. Both treatments are performed on an outpatient basis. After applying these methods, one should avoid to expose the treated skin to sunlight for the next three months. Botulinum toxin injections act in such a way that they paralyse muscles that then by contractions and face mimic produce wrinkles. So, they are usually applied on the upper third part of the facial region, namely on forehead wrinkles and temporal region wrinkles. The application is performed on an outpatient basis. The resulting effect lasts about six weeks, and after that the procedure should be repeated. Restylan injections are also applied for filling up wrinkles, and also for lips augmentation. The resulting effect is also limited to the period of six months, and after the period it should be repeated. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis. Nowadays, the method of microlipoinjection becomes more and more popular exactly for filling up wrinkles. With this method, fat tissue is removed from a particular region where it is present in excess, and then it is treated and centrifuged, and finally injected into the skin under the wrinkle. The treatment is performed under local anaesthesia and on an outpatient basis, and sterile conditions of the treatment should be applied to the whole of the process. The resulting effects of this procedure are long lasting ones.
